Meet Daisy

I basically play with dogs all day everyday. My favorite however is my own. Her name is Daisy. Daisy is a pit bull and she is such a sweet heart. I found her in a parking lot on Black Friday of 2016. I always freak out when I see animals just wondering around with any one trying to help them. It breaks my heart so I stopped opened my door and after a few minutes I was able to get her in the car (I’ve never had a dog come as easily as she has when I have tried to help them). She had no collar or tags so I took her to the veterinarian near by to see if she had a microchip, she didn’t. So I brought her home and she being the spunky little girl that she is made herself right at home. To be honest at this point I was already in love with her.

Skip Forward a few weeks after my parents told me I could keep her. I took her to the vet to get her shots, and to get her microchiped. I highly recommend getting your pet microchiped. If they get lost and lose their collar and tags, it is a reassurance that you will get them back. Microchips cost $20-$50 but it could save you a little heart break in the future.

In March we found out that Daisy was heartworm positive. This is a very dangerous and deadly disease for dogs. Needless to say I was devastated. ┬áDaisy and I are very lucky that she has very knowledgeable doctors. She has been treated now and is on the road to recovery. I’m so excited for her to get better so she can return to doing things that make her happy such as going to the dog park and daycare. She will also be joining me on some of the adventures that I hope to go on and post about!

You can follow Daisy on Instagram @Daisy9999, she doesn’t post much but she is still cute!
